I've been walking down memory lane a lot lately. More than usual.
An old best friend, from when I was just a weeee little lad, sent me a message online. We caught each other up on the last 12 years apart from one another. It was really nice to hear from her and how she has really grown to be such a beautiful lady... inside and out.
I have been sifting through all my old LJ accounts (mariathenerdo, goobertron, mariathesmall...for you curious lurkers) and reading entries alllll the way back to 2003. I was SO melodramatic in high school. I think at times all the things that happened to me were casted by my own hand. Ha. But reading some of those entries really brought back all the animosity, the angst, the pain, the joy, the happiness, and the love I felt through that chapter of my life. It also gave me a sense of growth too.
God, what a tormenting experience that all was.
I really loved reading the entries of when Taylor and I first met. He was so new, so exciting. Ha, I remember the night he said 'I love you.' We were driving home in his car from our date next to a lake where we had a dinner picnic when we began to have very first fight. I told him "you don't even fucking know me!" and he says back to me "Well, I know you enough to love you." We were at a stop light and I turned to him "What did you just say?" And the rest is history.
Soulmates. Seriously.
Some things you'll never know why they ended, why they started. Some things are unforgivable, some forgettable.
Well, off to my favorite thrift store, Winter Park's farmers market, and my smoothie date with Kate!
