I lack the time to blog/journal, really and truly. it's so sad. I love to write. But I only get two days off a week, and they are packed with running around, phone calls, qt with the kids and actually making my family a lovely meal. Mar still naps for about an hour a day and this is that slot.
I'm so tired! it's been raining for days. The winds have been so bad I went out to buy a flat of storm candles because I don't think we have any left. I love watching the storm from inside my work, I feel like I'm in a glass house on the ocean.I just hate going places in it. I will gladly never leave the house till it's spring :(
Work is good and bad... yesterday (Valentines Day) was solid and busy. I put on my nice girl voice and ran until I thought my feet would fall off. I hate my job because our standards are so unbelivably high that our boss made the pregnant girl cry. Sigh - so mean in the world of serving... so mean.
Thank god for my outlet, my royal blue gi with the white and yellow Silva BJJ patches, the smell of matts and the MMA classes which pair me up with guys that I can take my week out on. Did you know I love martial arts? Like a lover. Still connected, still taking immense pleasure from, still fighting. Bill is a really awesome instructor, and the CVBC is as strong and united as ever. We just ordered in the most killer fight team hoodies, thru a Pro fight sponsor, and I'm stoked to wear one.
Ball is gearing up slowly but surely, and it seems like I have a full roster - and full sponsor. My only problem is now that I'm president I see why it's such a struggle. It seems only 3-4 teams are in for the season so far, and a few more will roll in last minute. It's like people don't give a shit. I'm out to change that... Change yourself, change the world. ok or at least change ladies fastpitch.
My kids are so awesome and you know the never ever get sick. That is so awesome. Marley is at that difficult age, almost 4, and I'm looking forward to the fall when Indy does full days at the French school, Marley will do "Strong Start" (pre-K) and then to the daycare at the school for the rest of the afternoon. He will get play time, structure, and I can work days.
Indy's first Valentines Day at school was so sweet. She penned all the names herself (over my faint pencil names) and made sure she got everyone in her class, gave Mme Pearce chocolates and wore a cute skirt. She's so "indy"pendant... at 5 she gets herself dressed, teeth, hair, and packs her own lunch. Wow :)
I'm dieting during the week and slacking during the weekend. Slowly losing my post-surgery weight and feeling much better. My boobs are shrinking again though hahaha.
Anyways I have 101 things to do today, but I'm glad I took a moment to mark our world as it turns...
xxooxo
