Ok, that's just fucking lame. You maam, you're under arrest, put the candy bar down!"
Really, they must have better things to do than arrest people for heading the message and finishing the candy bar before entering the subway! Sounds like the cops that watch that are just assholes. Man, now I know if I ever needed to use the Subway I would be arrested rather quickly.

That is really stupid. I think cops should be harsher on bad drivers, tho. The things I see people doing on the road just boggles the mind.

Ok just because I like to argue/play the devil's advocate. If people would just follow the god damn rules, then cops wouldn't have to bust people for stupid shit. ;)

Except this woman did. She was told to finish it before entering, nodded and ate the last bite then went in. It was then the cop went after her and asked for her ID for no reason at all.

So nyah! ;-P

except the cops are allowed to do that. By her walking away, she is refusing cooperation with the police. The story left a lot of details out, which is not surprising, and we do not know if she did something else or not. All we have is her story, not the cops.

But she did cooperate. The cop told her to finish it, she did, she went on her merry way. The cop never asked her to stop or show her ID until after she did what she was told, entered the subway and subsequently refused. I agree refusing the ID was a bad idea, but originally she did obey the law when asked. Even in the article it states that both the woman and the cops agree that she had nodded to the officers statement and finished the candy bar before entering, which is exactly what he asked for.
