I can't believe school starts in three weeks. I have told my employer I am going back to school and want to drop down to part time and they are mulling their options. Hopefully I will know of their decision soon.
The birthday party went well on Friday and thanks to all who came. I wanted to keep it smaller than last year to reduce the stress of things and feel that was accomplished for the most part. My parents got me a lot of tools and things so I can do yard work and such, which is exactly what I wanted. Katie's family also got me a monetary gift card so I went CD shopping yesterday which was excellent. It is hard to hold back on buying CDs sometimes. I have had to really suppress those tendencies in the last few years for practical reasons.
I am also looking forward to our trip to San Diego next week. I think Katie and I both need a little relaxation and fun after the ending of school for her and before the beginning for me. We will never say this life is dull!
