I'm sooo tired and I dunno why. I got like 9 hours of sleep last night (dozed off around 7:30 because I was bored outta my gourd). Jeremy and I are going to watch The Santa Clause 2 and then I'm hitting the hay.
We have been talking about this whole house thing for the past couple of days and we've come to a decision-- our income is all right, but not enough to buy a nice condo/house. Plus, when you buy a condo or house you have to pay ALL of the utilities. So, our plan is to rent an apartment. While renting an apartment, we'll save up for the wedding. After we're married that's when we'll save up for the house or condo. That's the order people usually go in anyway.
I'm actually quite excited, even though we probably won't be out of here until March or April. We're seriously looking at the Villages of Bogey Hills in St. Charles. Each apartment, even the 1 bedroom, has a washer/dryer hook-up, which is something I really, really want. There are also fireplaces, which will come in handy in the wintertime. And they're pet friendly! :c) The best part is, we've already got the $200 for the deposit and the $200 deposit for pets. Now I don't feel so overwhelmed at thinking I need 3-grand for a downpayment on a house.
Now, like I said, it won't be till probably March or April and in the meantime we need to start buying a lot of miscellaneous things. First off, we already have an entertainment center, 2 TVs, a computer, a desk, 2 DVD players, a VCR, PS2, and GameCube. What we really need is a couch, table and chairs, kitchen-y stuff (plates, silverware, glasses, pots, pans, etc etc), and I really, really want a new bed, but that's not a must. Oh yeah, and a washer and dryer, but we can use the laundry facilities until we can afford that. :cP
Jeremy really likes the idea. We were both feeling the pressure of having 3-grand by next spring/summer and were both equally depressed at the thought of living with his dad any longer than we have to. I also think that my grandma and my mom will finally be happy and shut-up!
Well, I told Jeremy that I wouldn't take more than 10 or 15 minutes to update. Time to snuggle with my honey and eat my Wonka Bar! :c)
