I take it the world has noticed that technology has led to a increasingly isolated fact of self. As a pilot post, I intend to briefly state my reasons for adding to the landfill of user generated content. Web logging is nothing new to me, the drama that can accompany it is also somewhat old hat. I had a good friend threaten suicide on an old web log for reasons that will remain known only to him. Still, I persist.
There are very few people in the world that care to read what I am typing. This is a fortunate thing, if all of a sudden the netizens or denizens of Earth were clamoring over what I have to say then a giant an hero party would necessarily ensue. I enjoy parties to the extent that the celebration is meaningful. The human population committing to the only wise act they would ever accomplish is certainly a good reason to get together and hang loose.
I refuse to discuss anything that might be construed as useful or just discourse on this site. The major reason for this is I have yet to encounter a subject worthy of that type of attention. There are so many things to study, why lavish attention and otherwise vital moments of time teasing apart the elements of say, the argument for Creation against the logic and evidence of Evolution? These types of discussions are dumb and when they are had the whole species suffers from a global ice cream headache. I might post things about etymology, an interesting subject in its inherent uselessness. It is enough to know that we speak -it is a leap of faith to suggest we effectively communicate. Tracing the origins of terms that carry no meaning outside of social convention is curiously fascinating and I will likely relate the things I discover about words here and there.
Other areas that might make there clumsy way to this text-box are book reviews, logical fallacies discovered in folk psychology and political thinking, and possible [if I am having a particularly bad day] snippets into my grossly overscheduled life. My intentions are to write freely and often without regard to the invisible spectator -also, it is interesting to see the difference in style and content when comparing things written in long-hand to things written with the aid of a keyboard. In long hand I write introductions to fiction that I don't even consider finishing -with a keyboard I write sarcastically about nothing important. Go figure.
