Spider-Man 3 Trailer, fic rec
The trailer for Spider-Man 3, out May 4th of next year in the States, can be found here via the IMDB. Looks pretty promising, methinks ... here's hoping it doesn't go the way of X3 and end a relatively compelling saga with a half-assed script and more action than story.
Also, I think I'm going to skip The Wicker Man altogether. I'm too big a fan of the 1973 original, the reviews I've seen are quite brutal, and Hollywood has a bad habit of taking perfectly good movies and fucking them all over anyway. Plus, not exactly the biggest Nick Cage fan in the universe, and I don't like that they changed his character from uptight virgin to "deathly allergic to bees" ... the fuck? ... yet more incentive to wait for the rental.
Although ... I might come up with the $10 if Cage ends up like the original Sergeant Howie.
Cos honestly, that would be kind of awesome.
And a Lost fic rec, courtesy of the always brilliant halfdutch. The Outlaw James Ford, rated PG, ponders the mystery surrounding Sawyer's name. No slash in this one, but it's a terrific take (and a spot-on characterization) of Jack and Sawyer's relationship. Check it out and show her some love, y'all.
