Things had changed in his life. People came and went. He'd lost Marie... and Nicky, he wasn't sure exactly what had happened to her. He could only hope that nothing bad happened. His mind still went to her every once in a while. To her words. How this whole thing was harder for her. He still hadn't figured out why or even what their connection with one another was. But for now that didn't matter. The CIA assassin was in Paris with a friend. One who seemed out of her time or out of her league. Or maybe he was out of his on both accounts. Time would only tell.

But for now he was in the home they were both staying at and he was in the kitchen going through a few of the cook books. Not that he truly knew why. After all, he didn't know what she liked.
