Day II
*I just want to thank you all for the well wishes and wonderful energy. You have no idea (actually , I know you do) how much it is helping me
right now.*
*I will update just to let everyone know how things are right now.*
*Something I wish to apologise for up front: I did not want to post anything on my Lj that would make anyone down. Now, I can't say that I can keep this promise.* I'm Sorry! :-(
Mary (older sis) called me this morning and told me that the doctor is going to do another Bone Marrow bx (Biopsy). Gray (big brother) is still hooked up on Life support and in a medically induced coma. I asked her of the possibility of chemo or radiation therapy to slow the cancer down, but from what was told to her, he is terminal and there is not too much they can do for him now. We don't know how long he has had the lymphoma prior to him being hospitalised. Mary also told me that when he is removed from the resperator, he will be breathing on his own but that is when Pallitive Care (end of life-comfort care) will be initiated and Hospice takes over. After that, we will have Gray moved to a Hospice facility. I will be in Hartford for at the least a week, it may be longer but I will have my computer with me and I will be working remote if I have to. My Manager Terry and Team Leader Trennis have been really wonderful about this. And Terry knows this first hand because her brother in California was just diagnosed with cancer 3 months ago, and she understands completely and my prayers are with him too. :-(
I leave on July 9th (next Thursday) and will be back on Wednesday, July 15th.
