Personality: As Asura is insanity incarnate, he is a very temperamental person, up to the point where all of his mood swings are to the extreme. Whether he is happy, sad, or etc., you can be sure that whatever he's feeling at the time will be at the utmost supreme.
In his usual mode, he's scared as all heck, and is afraid of just about everything that even breathes on this whole planet because of his never-ending paranoia that maybe even something miniscule might get him killed. Taking that into account, he's always scared for the future, and thus, he tends to overthink things and the results of what could probably happen too much, so in an effort to keep it from happening, he'll try to either think of another way to get around it, or he'll try to confront and destroy the "problem" before it even starts.
Amazingly, when he actually does try confront the "problem", he actually shakes off that sense of fear, and becomes much more brave and headstrong. In that state, he knows that he's undefeatable. With an air of arrogant confidence, he becomes more dangerous, and is able to think more clearly on what course of action to take (especially when becoming involved in a fight). Until it is finished, he is ruthless and will not relent at his pursuit of the target.
On top of that, he can be also cold and unforgiving. As he can barely trust himself and only himself, he will certainly not give a damn about others. He can certainly pretend to understand them, sure, but the thought of caring for anybody is quite a laugh to him. After all, why even bother if you know that they're going to end up betraying you in the end?
That isn't to say he's completely like that, though. If he does ever manage to care for someone (which takes quite a while for him to do so), he'll simply be in denial and will keep them at an arm's length. Strangely enough, it's not just because he's caring for only himself, but it's also so that he won't hurt their feelings. He's fine with seeing people he doesn't care about in despair, but if it's someone who's actually gotten close to him? He'll do anything he can to not see them cry, even if it means he has to kill them.
On ocassion, he can be quite contemplative, so he'll sometimes tend to talk about random things, whether anyone cares or not. He'll even take the time to inform someone politely, and is easily able to read the emotions of people in this state, though it's more for obtaining any information and also to determine whether or not they're a threat to his very existence. If they are, then he'll watch their movements more closely to formulate a plan in "solving the problem", and if not, he simply disregards them and goes on his merry way.
All in all, Asura is simply a childish being who hasn't learned to get over his crippling sense of fear and experiences all his moods at a maximum.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths
+Strategic opportunities: As he always tends to think about the future, he will think up of ways to counteract it. This also plays into effect whenever he is fighting, as he'll try to find a surefire plan to get the upperhand on his opponent, using any tricks necessary.
+Determination: When he actually does set his mind on something, he won't stop to finish what he's started.
+Curiosity: Whenever his interest is piqued, he'll search out his answers in any way he can without little to no trouble at all.
Weaknesses
-Cowardice: So very much this because, once again, he always has his perpetual paranoia.
-Socialization: Yeeeeeah, unless he really feels like talking to someone, then good luck trying to get him out there. He won't even bother to try and socialize with someone because he has a million and one phobias attached to him, and socializing with others is definitely one.
-Arrogance: In his other state, he is cocky, and thus, he's cocky enough to think that he'll prevail.
-Mood swings: Depending on what emotion he's feeling at this time, there are times when he will resort acting like quite a child and will throw a bit of a hissy fit.

First Person Sample: [There's frantic fumbling and thumps as the audio feed turns on, along with some heavy wheezing, though it soon fades away until there's nothing left but silence. However, it doesn't last long, as the quiet atmosphere is broken by a loud, high-pitched screech.]
EEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!
What is this, what is this, I SHOULDN'T BE HERE!
[A scuffle is heard momentarily, along with the quaint, soft calls of an Igglybuff.]
My place...my place...myplacemyplacemyplace-- oh? H-HEY! What are you doing, DON'T COME NEAR ME!!
[A split-second of a smack and some tumbles, before it is followed with a bit of wailing, along with some soft footsteps which get louder, until the communicator is suddenly picked up. The screen then flashes on to show an Igglybuff wincing in pain, though it only lasts for a few seconds, before the view has switched over to a pale man with black hair and white streaks patterned to look like eyes.]
Ohhh...what's this? [There's slight movement upwards and downwards, indicating that the Igglybuff doesn't know. A few minutes of silence comes over between them, until it's interrupted by a stomach growl.]
Hmm, I haven't eaten in a while. [He taps his chin lightly, before a small and settling, yet disturbing smile adorns his lips.]
Ah, I know! You'll do.
[And thus he grabs the Igglybuff, opening his mouth wide as possible, that huge gaping jaw now filling up with saliva from his insatiable hunger.]
Third Person Sample: This wasn't right. It wasn't fair. Heck, this wasn't right and fair at all!
Or at least, that's what Asura thought as he laid on the grass and looked at the ever-blue sky. Now powerless and stuck with...whatever some animal this was, he furrowed his brows and gritted his teeth. What was he going to do now? Obviously, he can't very well just hide forever. In his mind, as much as he'd like to, there would've still been the chance of someone finding him eventually. Along with that, there was the chance he might actually be killed.
He shuddered at the thought. There was absolutely no way it was going to happen, not if he could do something about it!
Asura shook his head frantically and bit his thumb for a bit. Think, think, think-- if he couldn't hide, then what else should he do around here? Trying to fit in was definitely was out of the question for sure. Pretending to be one of them? It was impossible. He was a monster, and he knew that much was certain. Living alone was also out, as it would be concluded with the same reasons that he couldn't hide away. If neither of those work, then what other choice did he have left?
Taking a moment to roll over on his side, he soon spotted his Igglypuff happily bouncing around in the distance. He stared for what seemed like quite a while, watching his Starter being ignorant in bliss, until an idea popped into his head.
"Ah, yeah...", he muttered to himself, as his mind began to formulate a plan. Eyes lit up at the fact that he finally found a way to counteract this problem, he chuckled to himself, forgetting that he was out in the open, and thus garnering some odd looks and stares from some people passing by. Not that he cared at the moment, though.
"Ke ke ke, yes~. I'll regain my power by defeating everybody with this...pink thing. And once I do, no one will be able to stop me!"
With renewed confidence, he stood up in an arrogant state of pride...and was quickly brought to his knees by an onslaught of wheezing.
'Note to self: Make sure to eat something before going ahead with the plan.'
