Summer Boys - Chapter Six (the end)
Okay, so here it is, the last chapter of Summer Boys. It's kind of a mess but I'm out of time! Ack! I don't know, I might revisit it in September when I have some time, just to clean it up. I just really wanted to wrap up this story within the timeframe of the carnival and next week is hell week for me with other writing so I didn't know if I'd have a chance if I didn't post it now. Anyway, I'd love for it to be stronger because you guys have been awesomely supportive of this story but I know you'll forgive me, right? Right?
I didn't put every bit of explanation of Al's behaviour in here - it just felt too forced - so if you're like "But what about when he did x?" just drop me a comment and I'll try to explain it. Also, there's a moment that might make Al seem like an uber-jerk if you don't know this bit of background info that never made it into the story - remember that scene where Scorp went into Al's room to make sure he was okay after his crazy drug/alcohol/sex bender and Albus was all sleepy and called him 'babe' and then seemed confused to find him there? Yeah, Albus was actually dreaming about Scorpius in that scene, dreaming about them being together and then he woke up and Scorpius was there and he was all confused by the blurring of dream world and reality. Um, yeah, that will make sense later, why you need to know that. I know, I'm a real solid writer with a good sense of which elements need to be included in my stories for them to make sense. *rolls eyes at self*
Also, I totally want to pimp greasers 's " The Trouble with Best Friends." If you haven't read it yet, go now and read it. It's fabulous. If you've ever been in love with a friend, you'll totally feel for Rex. And it has one of the best last lines I've ever read. Really, go, now, read. And then come back and read my chapter! lol
