babies are fun.
So I got some awesome news today: my brother and sister-in-law are expecting!!
Now, I've been an aunt since I was 12 years old, but my three nephews and one niece are all the children of my oldest brother and his wife. So what's so super exciting about this is that it will be their first.
I'm so happy for them, but a little jealous too. I kind of have baby fever, something that I've recently been coming to terms with, but my partner and I know we're nowhere near financially ready to have a child. And we haven't, like, gotten married yet, which is something we'll most likely do before kids come into the equation. And we still have a roommate. I don't want her around when I have a baby. It irritates me enough when she tries to train my dog. Seriously.
But I digress... I'm really happy for them and excited that I'll have a new nephew or niece sometime next summer. Which hopefully means I'll have the time to travel back east and meet him/her!
I am sad, though, that I won't be around to experience my sister-in-law's pregnancy. I guess that's what Facebook is for.... ha.
