On a lighter note-
I watched Waitress today, with Keri Russell, it was heartbreakingly honest and sweet and sad and fulfilling. It made me cry, but after I watched it I came upstairs to the living room and felt pleasantly ready to start my day, and stop hiding in my dark cave of a room. I have to work at 4:30, which means I need to leave my apartment at 3:30, which means I need to start getting ready.... now.
Last night Atiya, Josh and I had a few drinks (I opted for two Sparks, one regular and one sugar-free) and watched Judy Garland and Barbara Streisand videos form '63; Jack Rebney "Winnebago Man"; Alex Trebeck out-takes from the 80s of him swearing profusely and drinking alcohol on the set of Jeopardy (it was amazing) - all on youtube of course.
I got a bicycle, it's a cute little vintage women's road bike that is black with pink handle bars and a pink seat. I've been riding it everywhere which is probably why I'm so sore, aside from the fact that I'm running around on my feet all day at this massive restaurant in Times Square, aside from the fact that the commute alone is enough to make someone want to get knee or back replacement surgery when there isn't an open seat on the B or Q train. Blegh. I digress.
I want to write a memoir about my life someday, I need to start documenting the encounters I have living here in New York City. They're quite interesting.
