beautiful day
Yesterday was action-packed with goodness, I don't normally post personal stuff but here goes, spring is in the air:
- work was alright, found some fun '80s stuff in the archives
- mini office party to celebrate the end of a good fiscal year
- went to get blood drawn after work, got the usually-mean technician and she was super-friendly! (I guess she just happened to be having a bad day the other 25 times?)
- went to a vegan Chinese dumplings making party with some SnBers. Didn't do much knitting but the dumplings were fun to make, delish to eat!
- watched Strong Bad shorts with the knitters' kids and cracked up, they're cool kids! The pet snake was hiding
- when leaving found a shedded snake skin strewn on top of my scarf, pondered a Hunters and Collectors lyric ("so shed your skin and let's get started") and headed out with dumplings under my arm and a brooch made by selkie_dido on my lapel
- stopped in at work to stash my dumplings in the fridge, where I bumped into a certain Toronto celebrity I used to have a crush on, he asked me for elevator directions and said "I'm ___" (like I didn't know his name) and shook my hand
- went to a CD release for my friend's band, Picastro
- went home late, watched the dance scene from Napoleon Dynamite and fell asleep
