Hi ! My name is Gabriel. I'm 17--soon to be 18--and from Mississippi. The most HORRIBLE place to live when you're a transgendered.

I am FTM,pre-operation and hormones. I've got Asperger's Syndrome along with Bipolar Disorder and Social Phobia with panic attacks.

Nice to meet ya! =D

Hi, Gabriel :). When you turn 18, can you leave MS?
I'm FtM, about 93% sure I have some variety of Aserger's, and about 120% sure i have some variety of social anxiety ;). Thus, hooray for lj.

Be well.

a belated welcome xxasimont February 26 2008, 09:36:53 UTC
Hi Gabriel,
Grr, computer ate my first response to you. Glad you found us, especially if you live in non trans friendly area. I'm lucky, although I live in a small (about 300) town in rural Australia, everyone is friendly, and I think probably most people in town would know about me, I've been here 2 years, but I'm far from stealth. 48 year old aspie with add/adhd, depression and panic attacks (crowds are the worst, which is one reason I love living here). Our local definition of a crowd is when all 4 parking spaces in front of the general store are occupied at once!
Welcome
Simon

Hey, don't feel so bad. I also have AS and understand what it feels to be a FTM in transition.

... with the exception of the State of Denmark, Scandinavia! ;)

Truth is there aren't many places where it's easy to be different per se (be it trans-gender or just Asperger's, or even ADHD). But big cities are less horrible. Problem with that is, of course, that one doesn't always have a say in where to live - at least not pre eighteen yrs of age.

I had a friend with bipolar some years ago. They moved out of state, so I don't know how they are now, and I wish I could get in contact.

Good luck with everything, Gabe! =0)
