(no subject)
So yeah, college is great, but different. I'm not going to talk about it now though. If your cool enough you already know what I've been through, but here are some pictures for all of you anyway. Some are blurry or really bright but deal with it haha. First off, I leave my dorm, walk up the stairs and there is a quad called Westhampton Green. On the left side we have the music hall.
And then facing right, you see the fountain in the middle and some dorms on the other side called North and South Court. I get my mail there too.
Anyway, so I turn left and go down towards campus, I pass the dining hall on my left, and on my right is the Gothwald Science Center. Pretty much my home for the next 4 years. It's under construction right now, but there are still classes in it.
To the left of the science building is the nice chapel.
But we keep going towards campus. The campus is split into two sides by a lake, I'm on the smaller was important side, but the building that crosses the lake and connects both side is called the commons. Its got places to eat in it, offices, radio station, bookstore, help desk, like everything is there pretty much. So I approach the entrance on my side, it's that dark door in the lower part of the picture.
Theres also like a patio outside of the door, and I leaned off of it and got a picture of the big steeple on the library on the other side, and some other building too.
So now I walk through. I'm kinda on the like second floor of it. I'm taking a picture through it's glass front onto the lake.
After I get through, on my left is the library. It's got a big main entrance facing the lake, but I took one of the side entrance, which has the big steeple on it.
So now I keep going straight, away from the lake now. On my right is like some buisness school or something. I saw some goth girl hanging out around there early haha.
I turned around at this point so you can see the door I came out of. During the day if I'm walking down this hill to get back to my side where my dorm is, it's just packed with students. It's like a high school hallway in between classes, except outside.
Ok, now I keep going straight and go left a little up towards another quad. This is a picture of Jepson Hall, which is like a leadership school or something. It's on the left side of the quad.
On the right side is Rylan Hall where I have my English and CORE class.
If I look back to where I came up into the quad, on that side of it at least, theres some statue, and some buildings yah.
Anyway, I turn left though, go by the Jepson Hall and walk down some staircase. Ahead of me is a street which runs perpendicular to the lake until it reaches it, then it runs along it. I'm walking parrallel to the lake right now which is to my left. I'm looking left when I take this picture.
Anyway, I keep going straight and cross the road. If I went right and followed the road it just goes towards the entrance and some more buildings that I don't care about. I keep going straight past the road and into a new smaller quad type thing that runs in between all these dorms. This is looking right.
I keep going straight though, go through some trees, and take a picture of the side of the gym, which is massive.
Ok, now I go backwards back to the quad, and I turn towards the lake and walk down inbetween the dorms. Heres an underpass thing that would go back out to that street.
Heres the lower part of the quad.
After that I turn left and I'm on a hill above that street now.
I go down to the street and then the lakes right there. I got a picture of the big common building. You can see how it crosses the two sides.
Anyway, I don't go towards it, I turn right at the lake and walk alongside it to the other side of it, which is the edge of the campus. There is a bridge that connects the two sides, and there is a gazebo on an island.
I cross the bridge and take another shot of the commons on the other side.
I'm back on my side now, and I could keep walking along the lake and go back to the commons, but I climb some stairs through the woods off of the lake path. At the top I'm behind my dorm now. There's like a greek theater where they have concerts and stuff.
I turn around to face the back of my dorm.
There's a road to my right that wraps around behind my dorm, behind the science center and goes off to intramural fields, and a whole apartment complex area where seniros live. The police station and health center are down there too. The road eventually just ends up at the commons though and is pretty much the road that I was on earlier. It just runs through the whole campus. Anyway, I go inside my dorm. Here's my door.
And Inside. My bed and desk are the one's on the right.
We share a bathroom with the room next to us, and we each get our own closets. It's a sweet set-up. And here am I in my bathroom. I actually took these two last week, but whatever. I look pissed off in one, and on crack in the other. I can never really make a good straight normal face for the camera. Whatever.
AND that's pretty much the jist of it, there are more buildings of course, but I got the important stuff. I hope you kinda understood what I was talking about. Not that it matters if you didn't. The campus is nice. Anyway, I'm off to a Wellness class where they tell us that it's bad to drink and drive, and then I have an accappella rehearsal. Later.
