Just joined a new fanfic comm so I'm all excited in writing some new 100-word drabbles again.

Title: Hunt
Fandom: True Blood Character(s): Eric Northman
Bonus: No
Team: Ice
Challenge: #5 - Childhood
Rating/Warnings: G
Summary/Other Info: Eric tries to remember. Hey guys! This is my first post in the comm. Nice to meet y’all!

There’s the thrill of the hunt, Eric remembers very vaguely sometimes of a distant past, where faces and sounds blur together into something dazzling and colourful but unintelligible. It’s different from the way he hunts now. Back then, when he was a small child (he thinks but can’t quite remember), he’d go with his father, mirroring everything he did because one day, he hoped to become a great man, a worthy warrior, like him.

They stalked the prey - a wild, ignorant boar - silently, with the sun pouring sweat over their skin that even shades couldn’t cool.

“Gå,” he whispered, nudging.

(Translation: Go.)

Title: Table Manners
Fandom: True Blood Character(s): Eric Northman, Godric
Bonus: No
Team: Ice
Challenge: #5 - Childhood
Rating/Warnings: PG
Summary/Other Info: Eric as a newborn. If my Swedish is wrong, I blame it on Dictionary.com

He’s like a child, Godric observes with wonder. A corner of his lips twitches, threatening to become an almost-smile. It’s only been three days since he has turned Eric, and his appetite has been insatiable. He was a messy eater, too - droplets of blood sprayed a frenzied pattern on the newborn’s cheeks and arms when he cut the artery on the girl’s neck a bit too fervently. Godric needs to remind himself later to teach Eric some manners.

For now, he simply lowers to the ground, fingers combing through his redden blond locks soothingly, and says, “Sakta ner, mitt barn.”

(Translation: Slow down, my child.)

Title: (Ex-) Piano Man
Fandom: Long Vacation Character(s): Hayama Shinji, Sena Hidetoshi
Bonus: No
Team: Ice
Challenge: #5 - Childhood
Rating/Warnings: G
Summary/Other Info: When did he become tired of playing the piano? He wonders.

Every time he goes to Sena’s house, the sight of the black, gleaming piano will greet him. It seems to be taunting him, reminding him of simpler times when all he wanted was to play and listen to the trickling notes, like a cool stream of water on a hot summer’s night.

Shinji remembers when he’d practice five hours each day, fingers still too short to span over an octave. He’d neglect his homework while he tried to weave every note, every cadence into perfection.

He plays a snippet of Chopin (name of the piece forgotten), and grins at Sena.
