Soft summer rains in red white and blue

So, Jubilee has happened and it all felt gloriously British from the flag waving to the incessant drizzle.

I am a great fan of our Royal family and can't imagine a Great Britain without them. I watched the celebrations on the TV, hugely jealous of those in London who could wander about and see so much going on. The flotilla on the river Thames looked best of all and with the rain pouring down here I could join in in some small way!

I baked Jubilee cakes (red, white and blue) and hung bunting up in the back garden - it doesn't flutter in the breeze so much as flap wetly in the rain but still....
My nails have grown a little so they are painted (very badly) in red, white and blue polish :)

I've had some days off too this week further enraging the weather sprites and tonight we are set for storms and more rain - my feet are evolving as I type.

We also have bees, bees and more bees and week-old chicks but they're for another ramble post.
