Tady je recenze na Dona Carla z MET, co byl v sobotu, pěkně hodnocen je tam Simonek.

Tady je další recenze, tentokrát anglicky.
tady jsem našla mj. co že to Simon říkal v sobotu v rozhovoru.

Stagehands gave Keenlyside and Furlanetto handheld mics for the interview during the first twenty-minute intermission.  Deborah asked the significance of the scene to the opera.  Furlanetto said the Spanish king whom he plays, King Phillip II, has a very bad relationship with his son, played by Roberto Alagna in the title role as Don Carlo.  Instead, Simon Keenlyside’s character Rodrigo, the Marquis of Posa, is the son the king would have had.  This is the only time you see the king’s heart, said Furlanetto.

Deborah asked about the essence of Rodrigo and Don Carlo’s relationship.  (Simon ) said, they have a mistake here, it should be Keenlyside, not Alagna

I must be manipulative but not too. Rodrigo is the big manipulator through flattery and persuasion and that’s how he gets his way.  Rodrigo can’t be in the same camp as Phillip.  So he’s manipulative but not too.

Keenlyside said self-effacingly,One door shuts and another door shuts, on a bad day.  That’s what my father said.

feruccio furlanetto, don carlo rodrigo posa simonek, roberto alagna, simon keenlyside, don carlo, opera
