I have finished The Glass Room by Simon Mawer
and the last part of the book made me cry even if I tried very much not to.
It is a very interesting book, if you read it more times you always find something that escaped you before. like the motive of water everywhere... I have read it in Czech and then in English. And it was like I read it for the first time now.
The main focus of the book is the Landauer House in Město (and the people connected with it), which represents a real Villa Tugendhat in Brno.
I have visited the place before reading the book in Czech, soon after that the house was closed and is fixed now.
