Panic Attack At Work

Feb 17, 2017 19:41

I have infrequent meltdowns which most of the time I can recover from after about an hour or so. Unfortunately today I had a bad panic/anxiety attack at work and an ambulance had to be called for as I passed out. I had to be taken home in the ambulance.

I'm seeing a GP on Monday morning. What I don't want is to take anti-depressants, I just need alternative ways of dealing with my stress, at best some counselling, at worse some psychiatric help. Or that some of my colleagues may make me a laughing stock because of this. There is one colleague who does this subtlety and she knows full well that it pisses me off.

I've had a lot on my plate recently, a written warning didn't help last week neither. My home life is best described as chaotic, I'm still living with elderly parents and I live in a rural location. I don't have a decent public transport system neither and my social life sucks if it wasn't for the fundraising I do now and again.

I hate having this condition!

Suggestions welcome.

anxiety, panic attacks, crying
