This item is a mixed bag, but I encourage people to focus on the big picture rather than on problematic details.
The big picture is the appearance of a relatively intelligent and positive commentary on Asperger's in a major news outlet. That's very good. The people it is reaching are people who know nothing about it/us, and need to have the subject brought to their attention in a non-threatening way. That's happening here, and it's good:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703525704575061123564007514.html The stunningly annoying thing is that in the first paragraph the writer doesn't even spell "Aspberger's" correctly! And people wonder why the Mainstream Media is dying. If the Wall Street Journal can't even spell the central concept of a story correctly there is no hope for them and their kind.
But, as I say, this piece isn't for people like us who already know a lot. It's for people who have no knowledge of the subject. They will learn something useful (although not how to spell "Asperger").
