I want to see the new film 'Adam' but how can I take it seriously when they keep saying 'ass burgers' wtf?! lol. Very silly swear-word, sounds like big piles.

He was Austrian, therefore the correct pronunication is as we say it in Europe and the UK; Asperger with a soft g, like a j, yeah.

Asperger pronounced like 'burger' with a hard g is just not correct. So if everyone used the correct pronunication that would end the silly connotations and the problem would be solved.

I'm laughing now at how typically aspie and precise my comment was :)

Got to laugh at yourself sometimes eh! Hehe

I'm nervous about watching the film Adam. I'm pretty certain I'm probably going to feel disappointed and misrepresented by it...

it looks pretty cheesy and it's going to make generalisations but most big films are like that so I'm not expecting to be offended.

Uhh... In German, "g" is always hard, so that's not really right at all. However, the "a" would be pronounced as in "father".

Okay, yeah, my sister told me hard g, too. She LOVES languages - French, Danish, German, a bit of Swedish, a bit of Japanese. She's going to be studying Greek in college!

Oh dear, sorry! I guess we'd better find an expert!

I had no idea. My sister told me that the hard g would've been correct, but she's only studied some European/Scandinavian languages . . . she's the one with AS, though.
