more on meltdowns, but more specific-strange effect

Okay, so I was trying to separate my own personal differences between meltdowns versus panic attacks...and I thought of the times when I've gotten more angry-panicky instead of crying. And whenever I've been in that angry, frantic state, I get this weird sensation in my head. It's like this "shifting" or "zapping" feeling, the moment I open my mouth to say something horrible to someone in the middle of my rage. Having been an anti-depressant poster child (to refresh your memory, here are the various pills and combinations over the span of about 9 years: Paxil, Paxil and Lithium, Lithium, Wellbutrin, Wellbutrin and Zoloft, Zoloft, Lexapro), I figured maybe the meds caused this weird reaction, and actually did read about it on an online board...this person referred to it as "brain zaps" and it seemed to be a side effect linked mostly with Lexapro.

But it still happens, I am pretty sure it happened before I was on all those meds, and even if the meds tend to make something like this worse, I'm still trying to figure out what causes this reaction in the first place, and what it IS. Sorry if the description sounds vague...it's really hard to explain. It's different from the "zap" you get if you're startled or miss a step going down the stairs or something like that. It's purely in my head.

Does anyone else experience anything similar? If so, are you on medication or were you at any point on medication? I'm starting to get really curious about this. It hasn't happened in a while, but I still get it once in a while.
