Hi everybody!

Well, I'll tell you, it sure is nice to see a community like this here on Livejournal. Until a few days ago, I didn't even know it existed! Anyway, my name is Amy, and I'm really glad to be here. I'm 24 years old and was diagnosed with Asperger's at the age of 10. I graduated from college two years ago with a B.A. in English. My life's ambition has been to become a published author. I've been writing since I was 10 years old, and I love it. I recently appeared in a documentary that I'm sure at least some of you have heard of called Normal People Scare Me. The great folks behind that documentary have asked me to collaborate with a literary manager in Los Angeles as part of a new documentary. I'm currently writing a nonfiction book on dating and sexuality (tentatively titled "The Naughty Autie") for young adults and adults with autism and Asperger's Syndrome. It's going to be mainly anecdotal, with me describing experiences that I've had and the things that I've gone through, in the hope that the people reading the book can learn from my mistakes.

So, at this point in the writing process, I've come here to get some feedback from you guys. I want to know if this is a book that you'd want to read, and what it is you'd like to read about. What subjects do you want addressed? What topics do you desperately want to know more about, but that everyone else seems to shy away from? For guys: is there anything in particular you'd like to read about from a female perspective? I feel that I'm in a unique position here, being a female with Asperger's, so I want to make sure I am able to reach both men and women on the spectrum with my perspective. I have no doubt that this is entirely possible, and so anything you folks have to say...any suggestions, thoughts, comments, concerns...would be incredibly useful. Thank you all so much in advance for your help, and long live this community! :)
