Well after being inspired by
tealeaf_sales and
stolenmilkcrate, I'm learning to work with polymer clay and I made these this weekend! Everything is still pretty rough, but I'm brand new and I think I'll improve.
Group Shot!
Leetle girl, golden calf, polka dotted pig, and awesome opossum turtle.
Another view. I think I'll use a lighter green on turtles next time, it shows up better in person.
The lop-sided girl was the first thing I made. I love me the penguins.
The boy came out looking more like Torg from
Sluggy Freelance than I intended.
Some more details: hiney shots
I'm going to put another coat of future floor polish (which smells remarkable good and citrus-y for floor polish) on the pig, cow, and penguin and make them into jewelry. The crazy pig and cow are going to go on a cell phone lanyard and the penguins will be earrings. I can't wait to wear them!
On a whole, the painting ain't as good as it could be, but I was working with some old acrylics I found in the back of my closet...so they were kind of wonky and I didn't have the proper materials for blending and such. Now that I know I like it, I might invest a little more money in the future.
