[Erik had heard Christine's scream and had rushed to her aid without a second thought. Well he would have, had he an idea of where she was. He didn't know she had taken to wandering about the ship and getting herself chewed on by vampires.

So what was the best plan of action? Stationing himself outside of her room to wait for her, of course.]

19th century rivalry across dimensions, throwing wrenches at raoul, damn you! ; curse you!, !christine, order your fine horses now

[Eventually, Raoul shows up as well. With Christine missing and her only message a scream over the comms, Erik is the last person Raoul wants to see.]

What are you doing here?

[Feeling is completely mutual, broski. Erik barely acknowledges Raoul's presence.]

I could ask you much the same.

Leave.

[Raoul can not answer questions too.]

I do not follow your orders, Vicomte.

[In other words, you're not the boss of me.]

[If this were a bad fanfic, Raoul's eyes would be changing color. But this isn't, and it's hard to change colors from black, so they aren't.]

Get out of here!

[A warcry and a further advance towards the door. How will Erik respond to the challenge to his territory?]

[STILL NOT THE BOSS OF ME B|

Erik's posture shifts. Once neutral and non-threatening, now it is aggressive.]

Mind your distance.

[In a calmer state of mind, Raoul might find this situation horribly familiar. He might notice later. For now, he continues forward, picking up speed and throwing a punch at Erik's face.]

[Erik's ready. Well, as ready as he'll ever be. No one's ever gotten close enough to him to take a swing at him. The cape swishes and he hopes will disorient his foe.

You're a foe, Raoul. >B|]

[Why does he keep doing that, Erik should know Raoul's already seen this trick-- oh, right. Raoul has only fought this particular Erik once, and that was with fake swords and no cloak. Well, it doesn't make him an expert at fighting creepy sewer dwellers, but it'll certainly make winning against Erik more likely.

Falling back a little to keep out of reach of any attacks Erik might throw his way, Raoul decides to go for something that he probably won't miss in the billowing black cloak: Erik's legs. His foot strikes out towards the knees in a way that is efficient for an untrained aristocrat, but would probably make anyone trained in martial arts sad in their souls.]
