The Random Update:
General: Back from Thanksgiving, trying to gear up for Christmas. I have pics from our side trip at Thanksgiving to Fall River- the Lizzie Borden house and Battleship Cove, if anyone is interested in seeing them. HERE
Work: Boss and head designer are out through most of next week. Also, and not entirely unrelated, it's very quiet around here today.
Cakes: My Thanksgiving cake was finally my salute to A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving- the cake had Snoopy's doghouse and fall trees on the side, and on top was a picture of Snoopy skewering toast next to a toaster. Around it as my border were pretzel sticks, caramel popcorn, jelly beans and slices of 3 Musketeers posing as toast. Hopefully everyone gets it :P
Had a cake order for last night, will be helping the boyfriend out by supervising a cookie decorating station at an event at his hotel tomorrow, scores of Christmas cookies to bake (not for the thing tomorrow, just in general)... the baking goes in cycles, I swear. :P
What grinds my gears: Honestly, I can't stand overly perky/friendly/conversational people in the morning. I don't have caffeine until I get to the office, and just don't feel like being social until I've settled in and fully woken up. Kinda makes me feel like a bitch.
What's making me giggle: This. I've told everyone about it multiple times, but I don't care. It is amazing.
TV: Last week's Glee wasn't that good. This past Wednesday's? AMAZING.
Actual relevant stuff: To that racist asshole mayor of Arlington, TN: You sir, are a dick who doesn't deserve to hold public office. I could see how joking that Obama purposely scheduled his press conference to pre-empt A Charlie Brown Christmas would be funny. But the thing is, you meant it. Then you proceeded to make a number of shockingly racist statements along with it and complained when people who weren't your friends on Facebook discovered it and called you out on it? Not only are you a dick, you're a moron, too. The worst part is, you still don't think you did anything wrong.
Movies: 2012 was TERRIBLE. Seriously, you root for the tsunami by the end of it.
Books: Haven't been reading that much lately- been too busy.
5 Things I'm Loving Right Now:
1. Muppets.
2. The chocolate in the annual advent calendar Mom gets me does, for once, not taste like it's been sitting since three Christmases ago.
3. Tech for Wonderful Life is going to be so easy. Also, they only need me for two shows.
4. Most of my Christmas shopping is almost done.
5. Christmas decorations. Also, the cards I bought this year are so me - Christmas cookies! With lots of glitter! :P
