Oooo! This is totally unexpected and exactly what I wanted! I adore the descriptions of Asshai (other lands for the win!), and the fact that their quest actually deserves focus as much as the relationship. (Also Arya ftw!) The device of telepathy and the mirror really works, since it seems like it will take that kind of outside force to make them realize things (but at the same time, way more gradual than some kind of mystical "you are soulmates" thing from someone else -- I like that they realize it on their own). Also loved the great Eden images of Jaime's dream, and last sentences.

My favorite bit is: She is on fire as his lips meet hers, kissing her as if she is one of those maidens with dainty wrists and fainting dispositions, the kind to drive a knight to desperation. It is everything that the tales claim.

So thank you! :)

Yay! I seriously was so very worried about writing a fic that was really something you would want... plot and I are so not OTP.

This is a fantastic scenario. I love the way you've woven the romance with so much nicely-paced plot. (And of course it would take Jaime and Brienne two years and an externally inflicted kick in the seat of the pants to get to the point with each other...)

Thank you... plot and pacing seriously like my nemisi.

I seriously almost had them confessing their love while Jaime bled to death because I was having such a hard time getting them to do anything about their feelings.

Thank you. Seeing places we haven't gotten much of was one of the main elements of the request, and I thought what could be better than Asshai and the Shadow Lands.

I love everything about this, but especially the interesting world building in Asshai and the bond between Jaime and Brienne that took them across the world without them ever acknowledging that bond and ESPECIALLY that once the bond was acknowledged, they ran straight to a priest to make it official, lol. I wish this could be expanded into a novel about Jaime and Brienne's travels abroad. :)

Thanks. When I originally conceived of this fic it was actually intended to be... maybe not a novel but something resembling a novella that chronicled all of the adventures leading up to this point. Then I had to scale it back a lot in hopes of even getting it written. And yes, honor is pretty important to both of them (even if Jaime pretty much despairs of it) so I can't imagine them ignoring formalities.
