[And nervous behavior is a go. Jack twists his fingers together and tries for a smile that ends up probably looking far too strained. He shifts his weight from foot to foot. If asked WHY this little girl is looping him like this, he would stumble about for explanations in confusion. All he knows is that, for some reason, he doesn't want to make her promises anymore. He doesn't want to look after her or watch out for her, because he can't; it is not his place. Not his right. Not within his capabilities. He repeats:]
Erm........Hello. Very glad to hear your father is here once more.
