[...oh, Elicia...]

Which words didn't you know? Perhaps I could help.

[Ignoring all the strange new meanings and feelings that the thought of the Swan Princess brings back. Just for now.]

[Giles adds some notes alongside Elicia's handwriting.]

Beckoned: When someone motions you to come over to where they are, usually without saying anything.

Reflection: When you see yourself in a mirror or in some water or even in a window, what you're seeing is your reflection.

Tunic: A sort of shirt people used to wear a long time ago. It was very long and didn't always have sleeves.

[Back to voice:] Does that help?

Very much so.

I had to do a great deal of studying, when I was younger.

I have fun learning!! I don't like math that much, though. It's really hard-sounding to do! A lot of the bigger kids at the school do stuff that's really weird... and it's got letters in it...

A lot of things have numbers in them, Elicia.

Are we still referring to mathematics?

Mhmm! I don't like it yet, but if a lot of things use numbers then it's gotta be important!

I think the word you're looking for is "algebra." Numbers that also use letters, I mean.

Yeah! Algebra looks tough, but I'll do my best to do it, when I gotta!
