So the weekend before Halloween my uncle has this Halloween party. Really, that particular faction of my extended family always throws a good party. The Halloween party features (I'm told) two competitions. One is the costume contest. I haven't started the costumes yet but I have to make one for me and one for Eileen. Pictures may come if you're good.
The other, longer-standing contest is the Jack-o-lantern contest. Each team gets a pumpkin and a few hours and then they come back and there is voting on whose came out the best. The typical fashion is to use one of those stencil cut-out books. You know the ones I mean, where it's a picture of like, a cat or a witch or something. Well I am not satisfied with such things, I desire my own stencil, totally original! So now I present to you my first stencil-a-ma-bob.
I have concerns about it, namely the face area. I may get a tester pumpkin and give it a trial run. I may also scrap it for a different design. The different design will still be a zombie.
*EDIT*
I reconsidered my stencil and thought it was sort of plain and the facial features WERE on the small side. So I moved the head closer.
Just the head. The zombie lover in me winces to see a zombie who can still control his body with a severed head... but it looks cool, right? So what the hell.
It is a hip zombie who wears Chuck Taylors out on the prowl!
