The Internet Returns

Finally! I've fixed my computer's network issues and I'm once again online. It only took 3 months. *sigh*

What's new... I'm unemployed temporarily. It works out for the best though. I'm drawing unemployment benefits and since the job prior to my last job paid significantly more than the one I left, my unemployment pay is actually higher than my last payrate. This has been a pleasant surprise and is most helpful since the winery will not be open for about another month. **Grumblings about politicians**

I will be returning the the UP for two weeks proceeding Labor Day. I have the time and the money, so why not. Nothing else is going on in my life right now so I'm going to take advantage of the moment.

I'm playing tabletop roleplaying games again. (Can you tell I'm bored) I'm actually really enjoying it. We meet once a week every Monday. Honestly, it's a cheap night out.

Went fishing with family last weekend. Had a great time and caught 2 salmon one weighed 8lbs the other 17lbs. Nice steaks off the latter, great for grilling. Making me hungry just thinking about it.

Lets see. What else... Oh yeah, my hammer fell from my neck the other day. I couldn't find it anywhere. I had to go to town to return a dvd to the rental place. On the way there, I was almost in a T-bone accident at a 4-way stop. An older gentlemen apparantly did not see me as he proceeded to pull into the intersection after I was already half way through. I sped up to avoid hitting him. Crazy thing is after I got home I found my hammer lying outside. I have not had a close call accident in years. I think it no happenstance that it happened the only time in the past 2 years I wasn't wearing my hammer. All I can say is Hail Thor! I'm glad to be a Heathen.

Thorsmen, I want to thank you for the wonderful fire poker you made for me. It works wonderful. Excellent work, it exceeds my expectations.

There's probably a million more things I could be saying, but honestly the talk about salmon has me hungry. I think I'll find some dinner.
