Parting is such sweet sorrow

Well today is it. Today is the last day I am forcing myself to waddle into work at record slow speeds, rush to the bathroom 12 times for the trickle that follows, find a pair of pants that will not restrict my breathing or sitting.... so many reasons. I'm not on maternity yet, but I just don't see the point of trying to waddle my butt into work when I can be more effective from home. The sad part is I am killing at least 1.5 hours a day in the office walking to and from the bathroom...

The last time I was pregnant, I had to stop coming into work for the same reasons, except I had the massive swelling in my ankles that made it worse. I have tried not to complain to much here, but this kiddo is taking it out of me more than it did with Joey. But no swelling = awesome, so I'll just hope this mess is done and over with soon. I have continued with the braxton-hicks contractions, so much so that yesterday I started counting the distance between them for any signs of regularity that would send me to the hospital. Every time I'd think they were regular enough to write the time down... they'd stop. On and off all evening and through the night. It made sleeping a challenge, but I'm going to take a full ambien tonight to rectify the last 3 nights of no sleep!

I'm officially 37 weeks as of tomorrow which means they stop trying to stop me if I have the baby. I had joey at the beginning of 39 weeks, and I'm not convinced they've calculated me correctly. I've dropped significantly and with all the increased vigor of the fake contractions... I think I might be about a week away. Only time will tell, though I wouldn't be heartbroken to have a Leo anymore if it meant I got my body back!

The rest of everything is going well - Joe finished painting the library and we're about ready to put up the shelves now. We're going to build our own (and by 'we' I mean him and I'm directing lol) so we can fit more books in the walls. We don't need 10 inch tall, 12 inch deep shelve or our massive book collection won't fit. The room is a beautiful rich deep red that will go great with the books - most will get covered up anyway. Once we get that room finished, we can empty out the front bedroom that will eventually be Joey's room and start there as well. We need that room done by December since we figure the baby will probably be sleeping in his own crib about age 3-4 months like Joey did. Until then, the bassinet will be stationed in our room :)

I feel like I'm treading water at this point again, but I know the days are numbered for more exciting things (and even less sleep). Either way, I'm ready! Bring it ON!!!
