Minor setback

So that’s that bad thing about having a Piccadilly in the basement as our cafeteria. It’s so convenient. I used to go almost daily for breakfast and lunch… because the food is yummy and because it’s so convenient. It’s also fattening and expensive…. I have been pretty low on funds lately so I have been able to skip heading down there, but even though I had a bowl of cereal this morning AND carrots w/ dip for break, that breakfast plate was calling my name. So I ate it. And I even told the cashier that I would see her later! Ack! So, as I was eating the oily salty goodness, I didn’t punish myself, but I did remind myself that if I wanted to be healthy, I couldn’t make this a habit again.

I have a slimfast and some trail mix for lunch. That will be just fine. I also have a granola bar and a rice crispie treat for snack later, if I really feel the need.

Also, I have been seriously slacking on my exercise the past few days, so I emailed my friends about taking a walk in our breaks today. I have been working overtime (not to be paid, but to accumulate leave time for later on when we decide to start a family… so I will have paid leave for when the baby is born), and getting home more than 2 hours later than normal throws me entirely off. After I run errands and cook dinner, I am ready for tv and bed! So I need to make an effort to exercise, even if I don’t feel like it. Otherwise, nothing will change.

The new DVD I ordered (I think it was a Biggest Loser one) just shipped today so I am looking forward to trying that out soon.
