I want to be lazy with this entry, so I'm going to use bullets:
- I finally made my last car payment! Such a great feeling. Hopefully I can go car note free for another year, or two.
- Couponing has been working out great! Last week I scored a great deal on Kashi products at Target. I bought 1 box of cereal, 2 boxes of cookies, 1 box of crackers, and 6 frozen meals for only $2.90. I also was able to buy a bottle of Green Works laundry for $0.48 (I normally use Method, but this was way too cheap to pass up!).
- Although I enjoy saving money with couponing, I feel like I have turned into the biggest couponing hag. I carry a coupon organizer with me into the store, and the Target that I frequent has a lot of "family" shopping there, which makes me a little anxious when I'm walking around the store sorting out coupons. Last week, I ran into someone that I dated/slept with, and when we made eye contact, I frantically turned around and threw my coupon organizer into my cart, which probably seemed really awkward to him. It wasn't that I was still interested in him per say, or even cared what he thought about my couponing, but people talk, and I don't want to be known as the weirdo sorting out 1,000 coupons in the Brentwood Target. With that being said, I'm a closeted couponer, but only in the gay community. Makes sense? I didn't think so.
- Am I the only person who thinks Sex and the City 2 looks ridiculous? From Carrie randomly running into Aiden in the middle of Aubi Dhabi, to Liza Minelli singing Single Ladies... I'm not sure if I'm ready to take this movie on.
- Concerts! I want to see a lot of them this summer. Although the summer line-up in St. Louis isn't perfect, there's at least a few shows that I would like to attend. I purchased tickets for Lilith Fair a few weeks ago, which I'm not very excited about, but the tickets were cheap, and I wanted to see Sarah McLachlan again, since she rarely tours. I also want to check out Passion Pit, and LouFest. LouFest is coming to Forest Park on August 28/29th, which is my birthday weekend. The lineup includes Broken Social Scene (!!!), She & Him, Jeff Tweedy, and a bunch of other indie acts. The tickets for the two day event are priced around $65, which I think is a little pricey for the bands playing, but we'll see.
I can't think of anything else to talk about. Hope everyone enjoys their Memorial Day weekend!
