Where is everybody??
Yeah, so it's been a few years since I've posted here, and it looks like all but one of my LJ-ers are gone. I guess everyone is on the Book of Face now. I personally refuse to use it; I mean, how many times have there been privacy breaches, and how many times has Z. promised to "do better"??
Not really sure how to catch up here. Suffice it to say that K. is still in my life, as is Gwen, who turned 20 (!) in August. Still acting like a 5-year-old, though. Like me, she stays young by being immature.
And of course the MS is still with me. It's gotten progressively worse; I use a cane more often than not now, and am subject to fatigue. I can't walk more than a couple of blocks, maybe, or be on my feet for long periods. But I can still ride, better than ever. Most days.
I'm still working full time, now at a biotech company. Yes, I've gone over to the dark side, where they do indeed have cookies, and much better salaries and benefits, and a free Happy Hour every Friday. I can't say I'm sorry. I deserve this. And anyway, what I'm doing is helping researchers get their papers published, for which they are grateful.
Everything else is details. If anyone is still out there, comment or ping me. I'd like to know how everyone is doing.
