Sean, Lydia, and I went to L.A. last night (wtf!!!) with our friends Brandon and Tom.
It's so weird being in a place that you have dreamed of since you were 4 years old and first told your mom that you wanted your own studio audience. We drove past the house Brandon grew up in (which was located in Beverly Hills!) and we we also saw the house where they shot the outdoor scenes for the fresh prince of Bel-Air.
We ended up going to this awesome club in Hollywood called "Planet Earth @ The Knitting Factory" (like 1/2 a block from the Chinese Theater) where they played all indie and old school punk music plus 80's hits.
They played the new Franz Ferdinand song "You Could Have it So Much Better", and so many other FF songs, Killers, Dead 60's, and Ramones. They even played the Yeah Yeah Yeah's song "Y-Control", so obviously, I was wicked excited.
Sean and I spent about 95% of our time dancing on the stage with a bunch of hot scene boys. And we saw the "Cunt Queen from myspace (or whatever he calls himself).
We drove through Bel-Air on the way back, and got home around 5.
I'd like to take this moment to state the fact that I LOVE California!!!
