Re: Build .81480 layout aslj_client December 15 2010, 09:48:20 UTC
Is it possible to make shift+tab go from the entry to the subject? I often type the subject, then tab to the entry, realize the subject is wrong and, out of habit, try to shift+tab back.

I don't know offhand, but I've had the exact same experience, so I'm really not sure why I haven't even put it on my to-do list until now.

my biggest peeve is that the tray (?) that slides out resizes with the window and I really hate that.

(technically, it's a "drawer") that really bugs me too, especially since I thought I'd fixed it a long, long time ago. it should be fixed (again?) soon.

Would be be possible to tack the format bar (bold, italics, link, lj-cut, etc buttons) onto the top of the tray, and then make the tray a separate window that can be moved or maybe even docked?

I think there were some technical issues that made this harder to do, but it ought to be doable. If the drawer kept its size properly, though, would this be as important?

As to the current design, it looks more... legitimate, I guess the word is. I like the rounded edges and the entry box being flush with the edges of the window.

Thanks. Depending on how much free time I have in the next few weeks, I'm hoping to get this version smoothed into a more proper (usable) dev build. (There are some substantial under-the-hood changes that I'm hoping will fix some of the stranger exceptions and crashes that have been reported over the past few months.)
