10 Things I learned AFTER the stick turned blue...

10. I've found that nothing is more of a confidence booster than picking up a crying child to have them stop. While (on the flipside) nothing can shake your (self-preseved) competency level like doing everything in your power to get a child to stop crying and they won't. (Which leaves you crying as well)

9. You spend many-a-minutes wondering what a break from your children would be like...but when you finally get one, you can't help but wonder and think about how your children are doing.

8. You drive yourself batty trying to get your child OUT of diapers...only to get stuck on a highway with a child that needs to go to the bathroom (NOW) and the nearest rest stop is still 32 miles away.

7. You heart melts the first time you hear that little baby voice say "mama" (or "dada")...only to be driven crazy by the "Mom...MOM...Mom?...mom!"

6. People give you dirty looks when you give in a tandrum, but you get those same dirty looks when you tell them "no" and let them scream while you checkout.
5. Kids will beg you for a sibling but can't stand to be near them when they finally get one.

4. Growing up taking a shower almost seemed like a nuisance (sigh...yeah, sorry I'm late, I had to jump in the shower), but later on it becomes a special treat.

3. Your privacy gets hit by a car and backed over just to make sure it's dead...

2. You gain amazing super powers...like logical deduction... (Are you sure? Because this is what I think happened...guilty look...I'm sorry, mom...)

1. That I wouldn't change a day that I've had since April 2004....

(raises glass) never a dull moment or lacking in love...
