Question - What do you get when you put together sexy shinobis, pierced (and flirty) hotties, mouth-watering food, great music, Grand Prix excitement and amazing friends?
Answer - the best birthday bash ever!
LOL, yes! I had the best time today. i went out with my college friends for my birthday lunch. even though my birthday was ages ago, we hadn't managed to meet to celebrate before.
i was late as usual. we went to Hard Rock Cafe, which is an amazing place, really. Great atmosphere, great food, HUGE serving sizes, great music!
but let me not get distracted from my story -so, i entered late. the waiters and waitresses were extremely jovial and fun and... bouncy, LOL! they were buzzing with fun and energy, making us all feel quite silly and insane too, LOL.
the whole place had halloween decor - cobwebs, and skulls and giant spiders galores!
when i entered, all my friends were already there. this one guy - he was a REALLY cute mongoloid chap! he had about 4 piercings on his face and god knows how many everywhere else... anyway he came up to our table and said - so whose the shinobi for? is it her? He cocked his head at me.
i was all '???' about it. what do you mean, shinobi?
my friends feigned ignorance, LOL. and then... they (the waiters) brought out this absolutely GORGEOUS cake with GACKT's picture on it!! i shrieked in delight and nearly died of - oh so many things - excitement and happiness and ... everything!!! it was a beautiful cake, with a picture of G in a blue kimono (old pic, you've all seen it), looking absolutely gorgeous! my friends explained that he was the shinobi that the guy with peircings was referring to, LOL! i was impressed my his knowledge of japanese stuff.
then they all (my friends and the waiters, LOL) sang happy birthday for me at the top of their voices - VERY LOUDLY, hehe! - and they made me wear a witch's hat, and i cut the cake - though i REALLY didn't want to! but when i finally did...it was delicious, LOL.
ah, my sexy shinobi!! and this was the sweet message on the cake (in white chocolate, which i totally gobbled up LOL) -
ok, then we took a lot of pictures, and my friends gave me a card too - a funny, witty card with a lot of sweet things written inside.
then we ordered a LOT of food - which was super yummy!
and then this quiz started about formula 1 racing, which we didnt know anything about, LOL, but whatever. and the cute pierced guy kept coming and attending to us, which was suuuper sweet of him... and then we ate too much, so we had to sit around, and then we left.
we went to the nearby mall, and idly went about looking at the shops and stuff... and then we went home.
the whole thing lasted for about 5 hours, and it was magical. i'm still in a daze. the excitement of the GACKT cake gave me a near cardiac arrest, LOLOL!!
this is what is left of the cake now, by the way, after my parents have had their fill of it (i don't know how i'll cut up his face... i probably wont ever be able to *sniff*) -
it was so good.
another beautiful, pleasant surprise came yesterday, in the form of a birthday card from Timi -
it says on top (Timi's translation) -
"Birthday is the healthiest thing in the world. The more someone has of it, the longer (s)he lives." (Henny Youngman)
which is totally true and totally hilarious!!
Thanks Timsy. *chu*
