hipster karaoke, more than simply a dream?
It's that Libra time of the year again, and to celebrate, I think I want to do some karaoke on Saturday the 6th. Weather permting, I think it would be fun to go down to Cal Anderson park in the afternoon with a karaoke machine and do some karaoke in the park.
My usual probelm with Karaoke bars is they don't have Neutral Milk Hotel, Modest Mouse or Tom Waits. However I have heard that there are internet sites that let you buy or convert your own songs into karaoke verisons. For my birthday, I am asking for karaoke cds of your favorite lo-fi obscure and just generally unsung songs so we can hear some truly heartfelt stuff.
When my college loan money comes in, I plan to buy a decent karaoke box, anybody out there with recomendations, please let me know.
