Okay... someone please tell me if this even makes sense.
So over Christmas the state came in and said that the bridge connecting the road I live off of to Oxford was in need of repair. Old Sardis Rd has so many college students living off it that the cops tend to patrol often looking for drunk drivers giving it the nickname ":Road Block Alley." So, the normal traffic going down this two lane road (which was always too small before) has been detoured around by the airport which takes it through another heavily populated area. So, amidst this confusion (and mind you, most students aren't even back from Christmas break yet) the great city of Oxford has decided to do road construction turning this two lane road into a one lane road with a pitiful excuse for a stop light controling traffic RIGHT where the construction is taking place. There's no way they're going to be done by the time regular session gets into swing and the bridge is expected to be out for six months while the city argues over whether the bridge should be fixed or rebuilt. All I have to say about getting to and from school is this "..."
Does anyone in government think anymore?
