One Thing that Sucks About College
Overall, college life is great. I have one complaint, and this makes me rather sad, is that people come and go so quickly. You'll meet someone and garner a great friendship... only to find out they're leaving in a year or (worse) a semester. SUCKS!!!
That being said, I had a great time last night. Townsend and I grabbed something to eat from Sonic and hung out at my house until Tye and Jessica Gill got back from Wal-Mart. It was the first time since we became friends that we could really talk. He's a great guy and you wouldn't think we'd get along so well knowing our interests, but we do. Afterwards, we joined Russ, Tye and Jessica at video games. (We're trying to convert the girl into a video junkie.) She awesome! Even though she's horrible at them she loves playing games with us. I guess we'll have to keep her. She also likes Fullmetal Alchemist!!! We were just meant to be friends. Of course, she had to be proselytized into anime. I'm the preacher of the FMA gospel! XD So, Jessica Broadus, aka g0rge0us_demise, was suppose to come over with her boyfriend Jake. That never materialized. They ditched us. Who's sketch now??? ;-) Jessica Gill's friend, Rene, came over later on and we shot fireworks behind the house and had to fight the girls with crackers since Jessica kept hitting me with them. She pegged me in the neck with one. Ms. "I'm-scared-of-fireworks-so-don't-hurt-me-please." Then after I took Townsend home, we watched Spiderman 2 and I fell asleep to the musings of Jessica, Tye and Rene.
Overall, I had a great night. It was a good coming back get together. We had pretty much planned to do something like this since we left for Christmas, but I didn't think it would pan out like it did. I guess it was really a thrown together New Year's celebration. God blessed me in a lot of ways last night! They were little ways, but they were real blessings of friendship and enjoyment. I'm glad I'm getting to know my roommates better- that's one of them. Prayers are always slowly answered in His time.
