OK, I'm a dumbass. Did you know that?
There's a huge freaking two-story library three blocks from my house that I completely forgot about. And it has Internet and comfy chairs. Well, comfy isn't the best word, but at least my ass isn't killing me like it does at home. I found out that I can't get cable Internet access for about another month because our complex doesn't use Time Warner. Granted, that means I don't have to deal with their tyranny or bullshit when I go to pay the bill, but still. A month? Daaamn. Oh, well. It'll be like back in Austin when I was on dial-up. I think I alluded to that when I last spoke. Whatever.
It's nice to see that I can still kinda type. I had almost forgotten how, tell the truth. Typos galore in my command prompt and DOS emulator. Surprised it hasn't exploded, as fickle as DOS 5.0 and under was. (Unless I miss my mark, 6 is the NT/2000P Kernel, 7 is the XP kernel, and 8 will be Vista.)
I still have to go to the (alleged) post office, the tux shop (ordered too-small pants and I hope I can get it changed on the cheaps), and I think I want to go check out the awesome liquor store next to here that also has gourmet stuff.
Oh, and back to the apartment complex to get something with my name and address on it so I can get a library card. We're good, though.

Addendum, 4:22 PM 4/7
I got so much done yesterday it isn't funny. I'm still short a bunch of stuff and things. Don't let me forget to get that loveseat tomorrow. (Well, if ye gay couch cleans up like it's supposed to.) I'm gonna be so tired it isn't funny. I've looked and after 9 tonight I don't see anywhere to sleep until at least after midnight on Sunday. And I've been too busy to sleep properly for the last two days.
At least I can sleep in darkness now. I broke down and went to Lowe's for two 48x72 (cut to size) vinyl darkening shades. Money well spent, says I. I'll get it back in productivity or something. Even though I make more money being unproductive. But fuck them, I'm not a corporation. I just want sleep, yo.
Aaaahhhh. Hmm. I know I need to go get the tux in half an hour (God DAMN I done got ripp'd oft). If I can't get Chris on the horn, I'll sleep like I should. If I can, I'll go get those stuff and things from him that I need. Seriously. Can opener. It's like that one Looney Tunes where the house is full of cat food and not-Tweety has the only can opener.
Whee. I love the way that the bank never credits a deposit that's pending, but will tell me that I'm $67 in the hole on two pending POS purchases. (Gas and the blinds, if you must know.) Anyway.
Oh! That's what it was. I got my employee discount and Sam's cards today. I now have the power to buy Nerds Rope in bulk. Fear me. (I just want to walk around and find out what kind of ridiculous shit they have,tell the truth.) I had a heartbreaking moment today there. There was not one, but three 360's sitting there collecting dust. Premium system, two controllers, and the USB recharge module, $450. I had $526.05 in the truck. Of course, doing that would mean being evicted and disowned by several people for being so stupid, so it really wasn't an option. That having been said, if any of my southsidaz want or need one, I'll be happy to do it for a commission. (The other option was to buy one and hit the eBay, but I don't have the patience or tenacity for that. A shame, too. I wonder what they're going for today? Not enough to turn a profit and pay rent. Damn.
I need a drink. I think this is a good place to cut off.
