So, school has started. Summer was full of trips and adventures and new friends and old friends and Disney.
This last week was just theme parks, almost every day.
I worked Monday at a THEME PARK for 11 and a half hours.
Tuesday I went with Alex to Islands of Adventure and met up with James and Lance.
Wednesday I went to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios with Ben, James S, and Danny.
Thursday I went with the same group to Disney Quest.
Friday I went with Liz, James, and Lance BACK to Islands of Adventure.
Saturday, I got a break from my consumer-whore lifestyle.
Sunday was Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios with James, Lance, Liz, and Alex.
And now....school. I'm halfway through my school day right now. My first class of the morning was Adventures in Managerial Accounting. I'm embellished on the title in hopes that your soul won't bleed upon reading the content of my awfully boring class. The teacher was Mr. Hua, and fairly certain he was Chinese.
My second teacher was for my Guest Services class. He...is the most flamboyant being to ever emerge from Appalachia. His name is Denver Severt. I felt gayer just reading the syllabus. The lectures are entitled "Denverisms." And upcoming semester projects include "Role Play Theater" and "Service Quilts." But I suppose it'll be an entertaining class.
On Saturday, Lindsay and I did a little redecorating of the apartment. And by redecorating, I mean driving a terrifying UHAUL around and moving multiple sets of couches up and down flights of stairs. But now we have newer, nicer, and MATCHING couches, a Foosball table out on the porch, and an aesetically pleasing arrangement of picture frames and crafty cork boards in a collage on the dining room wall.
So...that's it. The weight of the leadership my college group has bestowed is really starting to press on me. So you can all pray for that!
