I often judge how good a day is by a proper balance of friends, humor, talking about things that matter, music, conviction, and creativity. And this day had plenty, so I'm happy. It had tests, which were not as fun. But I did good on them.
My script is getting closer to presentable. I got to work on it a lot today. Got to see most all ma friends at bible study today. Today was just a community, hanging out day, but of course there was plenty of spiritual things to discuss, things to pray about, and convicting moments. I love this bible study. Some of my school friends were able to make it, and I was very glad for them to be here.
So...my Splendid China story! There's not too much to tell because I didn't get to stay long.
Well first you hop a fence. Then you walk down a long dirt road, which takes you to the theme park's parking lot. Well we saw a jeep heading toward us. John said it was a guard, but it just looked like a normal civilian jeep to me, so I didn't take it seriously. So I sort of broke off from the group and went exploring. It was AMAZING. I went searching through rooms. The second stories didn't have railing. It was like exploring a forgotten Chinese temple. I went in dark rooms, huge stadiums, tunnels, and stuff. It was amazing fun. I just ran and frolicked through it, giggling like a middle school girl nearly the whole time. After a while, I started wondering why nobody had caught up with me yet. Then I saw John sneaking around, and he spotted me, and gestured me over. He had apparently snuck everybody out cause of the guard, so we went to a hole in the wall and climbed out through it.
The guard wasn't a serious guard. He saw us multiple times but never got out of his jeep, instead just driving around. He's basically there to keep it uninhabited by homeless people and vandals and prostitution rings. We plan to go back early in the morning some time, when nobody would care enough to ward us off. It'll be fun! And we'll bring flashlights so we can explore the rooms I was too scared in to go alone in the dark. Hopefully I'll have more time and the lighting will be better so I can do a photo shoot.
