So I suppose I'll give a little update.
This week's been ok. Nothing to get excited over. I experienced my first classes. I'm really looking forward to Foundations of Story and Foundations of Production. My hospitality classes are a bit stressful but I dropped one and added a hopefully easier one, so that's good.
I've been doing just a little job searching. I applied to Movie Stop and to Borders, and I will probably be going to all the book stores, music stores, and electronic stores, looking for a job.
Two nights ago I hung out with Jeffrey, Lisa, Amelia, and Jeffrey's new roommate, Saia. Jeffrey made pasta and then we went to a resort near Disney and watched the Magic Kingdom firework show from it's balcony. Then we monorailed over to the Grand Floridian hotel and visited with Jeffrey's concierge friend Joe. It was at this point I felt extremely local. Yeah, just me and my friends checking out the fireworks, then going over and hanging with Joe. Who is going to give us free Disney tickets! Is that not awesome!? Joe's in his thirties and is as gay as a unicorn, but free tickets is nice. Joe is also apparently good friends with the actor who plays Professor Flitwick in the Harry Potter movies. !!!!!!!!!
So yeah, that's been my week. John and Patrick have been at the New Missions office a lot this week, accepting phone calls and trying to get the TFA group a flight back from Haiti. They got back last night, and with John's sister being among them, he went a greeted them at the airport.
Today I think I'll be going to the Central Florida Highland games, which is a festival a Scottish themed competitions and activities like: sheep herding, beer run, and Scottish dancing. Should be interesting.
Living here's fine. Still a little lonely. I'll get settled soon enough.
