So today was a good day. I thought I'd share its contents with you.
I spent most of the day finishing up this horrific paper, which includes a whole lot of research, the use of Microsoft Excel, and APA formatting. Although the actual process was not fun, the sense of victory you get when you finish it is nice.
So I took a victory lap around Movie Stop. I seriously get something every week now. The prices area so good. I got Away From Her (3 bucks!) and Whale Rider (never seen it). Then I decided to go get Looking For Alaska and finally read it. Then I got pizza and 2 for 1 Howie Bread!
I didn't have any plans for today, so I was going to spend this night watching a movie and breaking in to my pizza and howie bread. But instead I got invited to go see This Is It with a group of people. So I end up giving a ride to a few of them. And the Howie Bread had leaked a little on its way home and so my car smelled strongly of garlic!
But anyway, what was different about this night than from other nights was that I liked and felt relatively comfortable with everybody in the group! That has probably been the first time I really felt similar to myself in a group of people. It was John and Lindsey and John's roommate Patrick. And then Dianna, the cape girl from Halloween. Then Melissa, Lindsey's roommate. Then a girl named Kaitlyn, and my friend Mateo.
The theater for This Is It was in downtown Orlando. The theater was SO nice. Like the chair were like home furniture almost. Cheryl Hines was there. She's famous but I didn't really know who she was until afterward.
Then we went to that fabulous frozen yogurt place again. Then we went to Wendy's and then back to Lindsey's apartment for some poker. I won. !
It was nice. I rode in the car on the way back from the theater with Dianna and Melissa and it was actually a lot of fun!
Tomorrow, I'm going to church in the early morning to help out with some children christmas offering project stuff.
So there you have it. I believe this was actually my first Friday Night thing in Orlando.
I can't wait to you guys in two and a half weeks. James is come in less than two weeks. Then he and I'll go back on the day before Thanksgiving, meeting Jon at his college on the way back. And so I'll get back Wednesday night, leave on Monday, and celebrate Thanksgiving and do Haley's and Laurie's senior photos sometime in between.
I am still loving growing in my walk with Christ. I know if I pursue He will set up the life He wants for me here, and I have nothing to be anxious about.
I hope you guys are enjoying life and are anticipating what God has in store for you!
