fic writing grmbls/fandom resolutions
- FF7: Steal, the baby meme one that became a little 'verse of its own, especially the scene where Cloud catches up, and the scene where they get Aeris. Those really need to be written. They're itching at me. Iiiiitching. D:
- polyship's Advent thing -- I know it's officially over but I had intended to write at least one ficlet each for the prompts for each of the polyships I love. (Which are:
Naruto/Sasuke/Sakura, Sephiroth/Zack/Cloud/Aeris, Shinichi/Ran/Kid/Heiji/Kazuha/Hakuba, Sora/Riku/Kairi, Bulma/Vegeta/Goku/Chichi, Jet/Zuko/Katara, Heero/Duo/Wufei(/Meiran? /Relena?) Tsuna/GUARDIANS, Luffy/Zoro/Nami/Sanji/Usopp, Rukia/Ichigo/Orihime.)
So far I've only managed one FF7 idea (that I want to go back and write *right*, since I kinda crammed the CLoud stuff in when it was supposed to be centered on Sephiroth and Aeris, but it'd need me to figure out a second scene and perhaps even a third) and one RukiIchiHime (which satisfies me just fine re: that fandom. XD; yay obligation done!) I have TWO different Jet/Zuko/Katara ideas in progress that need to be completed (why is Jet so difficult. XD; still, much fun is had with them atm even though the first one is trying to become a multipart) and the rest are still at the "hmm, maybe this? wait, no. Maybe that?" stage. But I need to write them anyway aaaaaaaa. I MUST. POLYSHIPS REPRESENT.
-The Teamwork scenebits -- they're not really a chapter, more like sidefics of "what happens in the one month break before the tournament stage", but they'll need to be posted with the chapter anyway. My motivation is kinda low at the moment though.
HMM. I think maybe if I did them all one POV each... Naruto POV for his chat with Gaara about demons and Akatsuki, Sakura POV about "I don't fit in my clothes anymore did they shrink in the wash or some... thingholy fuck", and Sasuke POV about training, but that one might be spoiler for the tournament! I suspect it'd help if I figured out how exactly that particular event goes. >___>;;;
-Restore: the one where Avalanche comes back home and goes ZOMG at Sephiroth. I. crap. This one promises to be SO HARD to write, so I've been dragging my feet. It's mostly throwing characters at each other and seeing how they pinball off each other, but that means a ton of variables to balance out. Riding herd on such a collection of strong personalities is really hard, especially since I actually have a destination in mind and don't especially want any surprise plot swerves sprung on me! Hrrn. *suspicious look* >___>
- Detective Conan/Magic Kaito: The one where Pandora's "gift of immortality" turns out to be way less literal than it sounded. Whee insta-baby. The sequel where Kaito and Conan discuss the baby and how they're going to raise him and what they'll name him is 80% complete.
It has been 80% complete for the last two months. I'm tearing out my hair here.
Also getting ideas about Kaito and Aoko having a long-awaited talk (because breaking up with her in a LETTER and then turning up with a kid? That's just cold, Kaito.) or perhaps Conan and Aoko. That'd be shiny.
- Detective Conan/Magic Kaito: The swingersverse. Nrgh.
--- Heist Prevention (Ran/Kid) : Setup all done, I like how they work with each other (it surprised me actually!) so um. ... mostly needs me to finish writing the porn. .__.; Why is het so hard! This is ridiculous.
--- How To Catch A Kid (Shinichi/Ran/Kid) : ... oh god ot3. Also super angsty, wtf self it's a fun porn 'verse. I love it like burning. ... also 80% complete and been 80% complete for the last two months AAAAAA HATE. What's even more HATE is that what's stuck is the second or third scene and everything else past that point is already written -- yes, even the porn! even the epilogue! Whyyyyy will it not work. It needs to oh god i want it done and posted it's blocking everything eeeeelse aaaaaa
--- Twin Trouble (Kid/Heiji/Shinichi) : ... pfff LOVE. Oh god Heiji is so FUN to write. Also faketwins kink is hilarious to play with ... so umm, just the actual porn left to write then. >_>;;
--- I should prolly write some Ran/Kazuha at some point, huh. Otherwise it feels a bit like a throwaway ship to get the wimminz out of the way of hot Shinichi/Heiji/Hakuba action. Alas I have zero ideas for such. I may be possibly worse at yuri than at het. (hell, no "may" about it.)
-The Teamwork meme. Except Teamwork is sulking at me again aaaaa BUT I WILL WRITE MORE PROMPTS DAMMIT.
What oughta be on my "to-write" list but alas is instead cooling its heels on the waiting list:
-Tripletsverse: tons of scenes to write (it'll bounce back up soonish, just no itch to speak of this last couple weeks. I posted some recently enough so the guilt is very low.)
-More Locker Room Therapy... it's just not talking at the moment
-Same for Wufei in FF7 even though I've got scenes half completed. It's just not talking much.
-Newtypes. GW in general has been hibernating recently. (note, it's not gone, i couldn't leave the fandom behind deliberately five years ago, i don't think it's gonna happen on accident now XD I still have heerookami-muse in my head. but, yeah. GW's being lazy.)
And, last year one of my resolutions was to add at least one chapter to the cyborg-sasuke fic. I tried, but it was all half hearted and out of obligation and nothing came. I still think the idea is neat, but in a whole year I haven't rediscovered my drive to work on the plot. I'm considering whether to try again and force myself through the next chapter (which only would report the same situation onto the chapter after that one anyway), to rewrite with another plot (that i have not figured out yet woohoo more work), or whether to declare the story dead and discontinued for good. I hate feeling like a failure for disappointing so many people but that hiatus bullshit has got to end at some point.
¤ These last two months I've gotten out of the habit of keeping track of what I write and when. I still have the files where I copypaste everything for word count purposes but I didn't keep track of the dates. Mergh.
To Do: Put up those two posts anyway. >__> And this year, keep doing it srsly! And if I don't, I would be happy to be prodded.
¤ I've also gotten lazy about weekly Naruto chapter reviews. I'm enjoying the story alright at tyhe moment, so I think it's the "Have to say something about each single page!" format that gets me ehhn, it takes about a hour at least to write.
To Do: make weekly posts anyway, even if they're three summarizing lines long! >:(
